Is Hormone Balancing Worth a Try?

In the world of wellness, there is a lot of talk about balancing hormones. Many people, including influencers and some doctors, are suggesting specific supplements, diets, exercises, and prescriptions to help regulate cortisol levels, boost testosterone, and address estrogen issues. But do these methods actually work? In this episode of Science Vs, we explore this topic with endocrinologists Dr. Deena Adimoolam and Prof. Anne Cappola, as well as urologist Prof. Mohit Khera.

The episode covers a wide range of topics related to hormone balancing. From the role of cortisol and the effectiveness of supplements to concerns about a “testosterone crisis” and whether boosting testosterone is a good idea. The conversation also delves into the question of whether estrogen should be viewed as an enemy when it comes to hormone health.
