The New York venue for the 2021 T20 World Cup will be hosting nine out of the 20 teams participating in the tournament next month. The most highly anticipated match at the venue will take place on 9 June, as arch-rivals India and Pakistan face off in their ongoing rivalry.
In addition to India and Pakistan, other teams playing at the New York venue include host USA, neighbors Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, and Bangladesh. The venue has been specially constructed for the tournament and is expected to provide a fair contest between bat and ball.
Tournament director Hough is hopeful that the T20 pitch at the venue will have good pace, bounce, and will offer value for shots to the players. The goal from the start was to produce pitches that align with these objectives in order to create an exciting and competitive atmosphere for the matches.
