U.S. News & World Report recently released its ranking of the top high schools in the country, including nearly 400 schools from Indiana. The rankings were determined by pulling data from statewide standardized testing results, graduation rates, College Board and International Baccalaureate exam data, and the U.S. Department of Education’s Common Core of Data. Out of approximately 25,000 public schools reviewed, 395 schools from Indiana made the rankings.
The top-ranked schools were found to have high rates of students scoring above average in math, science, and reading assessments, passing college-level exams, and graduating in four years. Among the top Indiana high schools listed by U.S. News & World Report are Signature School in Evansville, The Indiana Academy in Muncie, West Lafayette Jr./Sr. High School, Zionsville Community High School, Herron High School in Indianapolis, Carmel High School, Speedway Senior High School
