Indian cuisine takes the top spots on Taste Atlas’ list of Best Stews in the World

In the latest rankings of April 2024, Indian cuisine has once again shone in the spotlight as Taste Atlas featured nine dishes in the list of the ‘Best Stews in the World’. This is a testament to the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine, which expands beyond traditional interpretations of stews.

Keema, a dish made of minced meat, secured the 6th position on the list, while other Indian stews like Chingri malai curry, korma, Vindaloo, Dal Tadka, Saag Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Misal, and Indian dal also made it to the rankings. These dishes showcase the culinary diversity of India and its unique flavors and ingredients.

Taste Atlas has previously featured Indian sweet dishes and lamb dishes in their rankings, further solidifying India’s position in the global culinary scene. With multiple dishes making it to various lists, Indian cuisine continues to be recognized for its depth of flavors and variety of dishes.

The top spot on the list was taken by Thai Phanaeng curry. This ranking highlights the global popularity of stew-based dishes and showcases how they are used in different cuisines around the world.
