The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued an alert regarding the recall, which affects Ford Bronco Sport SUVs made between 2021 to 2024 and Ford Maverick pickups made between 2022 to 2023, totaling 456,565 units.
Ford has discovered that an undetected low battery charge could cause a loss of electrical accessories like hazard lights or drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Affected owners can visit a Ford dealership for a free fix by recalibrating the body control module and power train control modules. Alternatively, customers can use Ford’s mobile service and pick-up and delivery options for a repair.
