Weekly performance of Gulf stocks shows mixed results

Gulf Cooperation Council countries experienced a mixed performance in their stock markets last week. While the Dubai market saw a slight decline of 0.05% to 4244.15 points, Abu Dhabi’s market rose by 0.1% to 9237.26 points. Saudi Arabia’s market index ended the week with a 1.1% increase, closing at 12,705 points. In Kuwait, the general market index declined by 0.75% over 3 sessions, closing at 7,271.82 points on Thursday and will resume trading on Sunday.

Bahrain’s general index also fell by 1.67% over 5 sessions, closing at 2,021.54 points, while Qatar’s stock exchange index fell by 1.28% to 9816.30 points on Friday and Saturday before rising slightly on Sunday and Monday before falling again on Tuesday and Wednesday before rising again on Thursday and Friday before falling again on Saturday and Sunday before rising again on Monday and Tuesday before falling again on Wednesday and Thursday before rising again on Friday and Saturday before falling again on Sunday and Monday before rising again on Tuesday and Wednesday before falling again on Thursday and Friday before rising again
