The Opening Ceremony for the Paris Olympics is set for July 26, with events beginning at 8:24 p.m. local time, or 2:24 p.m. ET. Competitions will commence on July 24, two days before the ceremony, launching the start of the global sporting event. The Olympic flame will be placed in the Tuileries Garden in front of the Louvre museum as a symbol of this prestigious event.
