Women in Bakersfield unite for empowerment at yearly business conference

The 34th annual Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference recently took place with the theme “Making the Impossible Possible.” This year’s event drew thousands of attendees and focused on resilience, innovation, and determination. Over the years, the conference has served as a platform for women to come together for a day of empowerment and enrichment.

The keynote speaker this year was Marlee Matlin, an Academy-Award-Winning actress, author, and activist. She shared her insights on achieving success and overcoming challenges. Mari Perez-Dowling, CEO of United Way of Central Eastern California, delivered a powerful closing message, inspiring attendees with her dedication to serving others.

The conference took place at the Mechanic’s Bank Convention Center in downtown Bakersfield.
