Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic Receives $10,000 Donation from UVA Health Prince William Medical Center

The Catholic Charities Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic in Manassas and Woodbridge has received a $10,000 donation from UVA Health to honor National Doctors’ Day. The donation was made to recognize the exceptional service of physicians to the community and to appreciate the continued partnership with the clinic. Erik Shannon, Chief Operating Officer of Community Health, expressed gratitude for the dedicated doctors who serve patients in Prince William and the surrounding area.

The Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic offers a range of services including annual physicals, disease management, prenatal care, health and wellness classes, eye exams, and more. All doctors and nurses working in the clinic volunteer their time to provide free medical care. Additionally, the clinic offers integrated services like counseling, emergency food assistance, and workforce development.

Alexandra Luevano, clinic director of the Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic expressed appreciation for UVA Health’s ongoing support and generosity towards the clinic and its patients. The donation reflects UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and strong partnership formed in supporting the health of Prince William County. This year UVA Health has donated a total of $50,000 across its service area from Charlottesville to Northern Virginia and Culpeper in honor of National Doctor’s Day.
