Nine Pan American Teams Qualify for World Relay World Cup in Paris

In Paris, nine Pan American teams will compete in the World Relay World Cup. The United States leads the way, qualifying four teams for the Olympic Games. Canada and the Dominican Republic also earned tickets to Paris at the event held in the Bahamas.

The weekend competition showcased the talent of Pan American teams, with the United States dominating the competition. They qualified in several events, including both men and women’s 4x100m races, as well as the mixed 4x400m relay and women’s 4x400m. However, they did not qualify for men’s 4x400m race.

Canada had a strong showing as well, qualifying in men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m races. The Dominican Republic secured their spot in Paris with world champions and Olympic medalists in the mixed 4x400m relay.

The Caribbean secured another spot in Paris thanks to Marileidy Paulino from Panam Sports ambassador who led her team to second place in mixed relay. The United States set a new championship record with a time of 3:10.73 in the grand final of mixed relay race.
