On April 25, 2024, several notable individuals passed away. Lois Irene (Bastian) Barton, aged 96, of Johnstown passed away peacefully. She was the daughter of Michael and Anna (Kehl) Bastian and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, as well as her siblings, Florence and Charles. Lois is survived by her children: Anna Marie (Paul) Doherty, Michael (Deborah), Sandra (Ronald) Stombaugh, and more.
Also on April 25, 2024, Ella J. “Judy” Carroll, aged 89, of Chest Springs passed away. Born in Glen Daniel, W.Va., she was the daughter of Dalton and Delila (Brooks) Claypool. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Carroll, and her sons, David Martin “Duff” and Michael Lee.
