Expressing Gratitude to Lee Health Volunteers

Volunteers at Lee Health make a significant impact on the health system and community-based locations. Their contributions, whether they are working in a gift shop or helping transport patients, are integral to the mission-driven team at Lee Health. Many of the volunteers are former patients or family members of patients who want to give back to the community. Reba George, a former patient turned volunteer, is one example of this dedication. Volunteering at Lee Health does not require a medical or nursing background, but rather a desire to make a difference and help others. The reasons why individuals volunteer at Lee Health vary, but the common thread among them is the desire to contribute positively to the community.
