In the evening, tensions rose in the Kirants section of the road leading to Georgia. For a week, the road had been closed and residents were on high alert. According to a published map, a car without a license plate was spotted attempting to leave the section towards Berkaber and potentially the Azerbaijani side. Local residents suspected the occupants of being cartographers and blocked the car from leaving the area. There has been no official clarification on the situation yet, with police present at the scene and media not allowed close access. Tavush governor Hayk Ghalumyan was also present, trying to persuade the residents to clear the way for the car.
