Oshkosh High School graduations relocated to Kolf Sports Center at UWO

Oshkosh North and West high schools will be holding their graduation ceremonies on May 25 at the UW Oshkosh Kolf Sports Center. The ceremonies, which have been held at the Oshkosh Arena in previous years, have been moved to the sports center due to uncertainty surrounding the arena’s future after its sale earlier this year.

Despite the change in location, the dates and times of the graduation ceremonies remain the same. Oshkosh Area School District Superintendent Bryan Davis expressed gratitude to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for their partnership and support in hosting the ceremonies. The goal is to provide graduates with a memorable celebration, and the relocation to the Kolf Sports Center will allow the ceremonies to proceed seamlessly as scheduled.

The decision to relocate the ceremonies was prompted by concerns about the arena’s future after its sale earlier this year. With uncertainty surrounding its future, it was decided that it would be best to move the ceremonies to a different location that could guarantee they would take place as planned. UWO Chancellor and faculty have expressed optimism about working together after a no-confidence vote, indicating a positive outlook for future collaboration.
