Landscape of Nashville’s New Oracle World Headquarters as Described by Larry Ellison

In 2021, Oracle Corp. announced its plans to construct a massive campus in Nashville, Tennessee, which will serve as the company’s new world headquarters. The city of Nashville, with its strong health care presence and vibrant culture, was chosen for this new location.

Nashville is home to over 900 health care companies and 550,000 employees in the sector, making it an ideal choice for Oracle. The company’s CEO, Larry Ellison, emphasized the city’s appeal as a place to live and raise a family. He also highlighted the central location in the health care industry that makes Nashville a perfect fit for Oracle’s new headquarters.

Oracle’s expansion plans were discussed at the Oracle Health Summit by Ellison in a conversation with former U.S. Senator Bill Frist. The company received $65 million in state incentives from Tennessee for bringing 8,500 jobs and more than $1 billion in investment to Nashville over the next ten years. The new campus will have 1.2 million square feet of office space and will include plans for a community clinic, a concert venue, a hotel, and a restaurant on the riverfront.

The Nashville Health Care Council highlighted major health care companies like HCA Healthcare and Change Healthcare that are already based in the city. Ellison emphasized the importance of being part of a community where people want to live and noted that Nashville checked all the boxes in Oracle employee surveys.

Overall, Oracle’s investment in Nashville reflects its commitment to being part of a thriving community with a growing health care industry.
