This marks the 21st World Cup or Championship held at Fort William, and the course has been refreshed for 2024 to shorten the overall track time. The increased speeds and challenging terrain, featuring brutal rocks, have already taken a toll on bikes and riders during practice runs.

As the series opens its first round here, riders are gearing up to compete against the clock once more. The adjusted schedule for 2024 sees the first day of timed training for elites and juniors after a morning of practice. Vali Höll and Dakotah Norton posted the fastest times of the day, adjusting to new team setups for the 2024 season.
