Ilka’s turnover decreased compared to the previous period – “The outlook is uncertain”

In the first quarter of 2023, media company Ilkka released its financial results, showing a turnover of 13.5 million euros in January-March, down from 14.2 million euros in the previous period. The operating loss was -0.6 million euros, while profit before taxes was 0.8 million euros. Earnings per share were EUR 0.02, compared to EUR 0.00 previously.

CEO Olli Pirhonen commented on the cautious marketing investments made by companies due to the uncertain economic situation. He stated that companies are hesitant to invest heavily in marketing due to the unpredictable economic outlook.

Ilkka reiterated its guidance for 2024, predicting that turnover will remain stable or slightly increase, with an adjusted operating profit also expected to rise.
