The NFL is set to reveal its full 2024 schedule on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET, according to a report by Sports Business Journal’s Ben Fischer. Previous reports suggested that the schedule would be released next week, as reported by Pro Football Talk (PFT). However, teams were informed of the upcoming release date in a memo from the NFL’s executive vice president of media distribution, Hans Schroeder, on Tuesday.
Initially, teams had anticipated the schedule being released on Thursday, but the memo did not provide any reason for the delay. It is possible that the delay was due to the league’s decision to schedule two games on Christmas Day despite Schroeder stating earlier that no games would be held if it fell on a Tuesday or Wednesday. This decision required the league to choose Christmas matchups, secure broadcast rights and coordinate schedules with four participating teams to also play on Saturday before Christmas.
Regardless of why there was a delay in releasing the schedule, fans can expect to see it soon; however, it may not be released as quickly as originally anticipated.
