RATP metro drivers could receive up to 2,500 euros in bonuses for the 2024 Olympic Games

The unions at RATP have announced that they have reached an agreement with management on bonuses for the 19,000 employees who were mobilized during the summer. The documents will be officially signed in the coming days. According to a leaflet from FO-RATP, agents of the “metro transport services” (MTS) department, including the 3,000 metro drivers, will be able to receive a bonus of up to 2,500 euros.

To obtain this amount, they must not be absent for more than four days between July 22 and September 8. The bonus drops to 1,600 euros if an employee is absent for more than four days. The agreement also includes bonuses for exceptional events and other benefits such as bonuses for postponing untaken leave to 2024. The final cost of these bonuses will be calculated at the end of the year.

In another press release, CGT-RATP announced that it had obtained results for various professions within the organization. For example, switchers, drivers, operational managers, regulators, and security agents will receive bonuses provided they meet certain criteria. Negotiations for bus drivers and station agents are expected to be concluded soon.

The bonuses allocated to other sectors such as police and AP-HP are already known. Bonuses given to agents working during the Games in various sectors will vary depending on their categories and responsibilities. To finance the additional costs, IDFM is relying on revenues generated from Olympic passes sold to visitors. Additional benefits include bonuses for vacation taken during specific periods and an increase in the usual bonus for air traffic controllers.
