As a child, Treyvon Hoskins had a passion for landscaping. At just eight years old, he began offering to mow his neighbors’ lawns and by the age of ten, he had his own business cards. Now at fourteen, his hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed by the community. During a Howell City Council meeting, Treyvon was thanked for his service in a huge way.
Thanks to various donations from local businesses and organizations, Treyvon received a Craftsman riding mower, a Honda push mower, work boots and socks, business cards, T-shirts, yard signs, door hangers and fuel for the entire season. The gifts left Treyvon speechless as he expressed his surprise and gratitude to The Daily.
It all started when Councilmember Nikolas Hertrich noticed Treyvon mowing lawns in the summer of 2021. Impressed by his work ethic and professionalism at such a young age, Hertrich rallied the city to gather donations to support Treyvon’s business, Treyvon’s Lawn Service. Several businesses and organizations stepped up to help including UPS driver Keith Ozment, Agape City Church, Byrum Ace Hardware
