Franiciscan Health Michigan City restarts the FIT-Together program

The FIT-Together program offered by Franciscan Health Michigan City is a family-centered initiative that focuses on improving health and wellness for all family members. This six-week fitness program is designed for families with children aged 8 to 15, and it’s now accepting registrations.

The program emphasizes healthy choices in physical activities, relationships, and emotional health. Participants will engage in family-centered exercises led by Trainer Ron Gaston, cooking and meal preparation sessions with Chef Nakia, and discussions about nutritional facts. They will also receive weekly meal kits for their entire household.

Throughout the program, participants will learn the seven Cs of family resilience, which include control, competence, coping, confidence, connection, character, and contribution. FIT-Together sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 4 to July 18 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time at The Temple Total Fitness Center in Michigan City. Comfortable clothing and gym shoes are recommended for all sessions.

This program is made possible through partnerships with Franciscan Health Michigan City, General Insurance Services, Bowen Center, Kia Can Cook, and The Temple Total Fitness Center. While the program is free of charge
