Improving STEM Education Through Technological Upgrades at Tulsa Charter School

As Dove Science Academy in Tulsa prepares for the merging of Dove High School onto its campus, it’s undergoing a major technological upgrade. The school is set to become the first Pre-K through 12th grade institution in the United States to implement WiFi 7 technology, which promises faster upload and download speeds and improved connectivity both indoors and outdoors.

With nearly 1,000 students using Chromebooks on campus, having a reliable and high-bandwidth network is crucial. The introduction of WiFi 7 technology will offer students an enhanced learning experience, as they can access information more quickly and easily than ever before. This new standard also means that students can work remotely without any issues, making it easier for them to learn from anywhere at any time.

The installation of WiFi 7 at the campus is expected to be completed by the end of this school year, with full operation expected by the 2024-2025 academic year. This investment in technology reflects Dove Science Academy’s commitment to providing their students with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in an increasingly digital world. By future-proofing their infrastructure, they aim to prepare students for the demands of the workforce, particularly in fields like computer science and coding. With this new technology, Dove Science Academy is setting itself apart as a leader in STEM education and preparing its students for a bright future ahead.
