Free Health Screenings Offered at Black Wellness Family Expo in Arizona

The American Cancer Society has reported that the Black community in the United States has the highest death rate and shortest survival for most types of cancer. In response to this, the Phoenix chapter of The Links, Incorporated is hosting a Black Wellness Family Expo to educate people about their diagnosis and promote awareness of various health conditions. The event will take place at South Mountain Community College near 24th Street and Baseline Road and will include free health screenings, mammograms, car seat safety checks, access to health care information and services. Participants will also receive a free lunch. Registration is available at blackfamilywellnessexpo.org.
