Hubert Kos, World Champion and NCAA Runner-up, Announces Transfer to University of Texas

Hubert Kos, a standout swimmer at Arizona State, has announced his decision to transfer to the University of Texas following the departure of head coach Bob Bowman from the Sun Devils. Kos just completed his sophomore season and was a standout performer at the 2024 NCAA Championships, scoring 48 individual points. He placed 2nd in the 200 back, 3rd in the 200 IM, and 4th in the 100 back.

One of Kos’s notable achievements was breaking Ryan Murphy’s 200 backstroke NCAA record at the 2024 Pac-12 Championships with a time of 1:35.69. His success in the pool led to a shift in his NCAA lineup from his freshman to sophomore year, where he competed in the 400 IM instead of the 100 back.
