WhatsApp is creating a feature for Android users to organize their preferred contacts

WhatsApp is working on introducing a new tab within the Settings section of the platform, which will enable users to manage their favorite contacts from one central location on Android devices. This feature was first announced by Meta with the introduction of a feature in the calls section that allowed users to add contacts as favorites. The latest beta update for Android (2.24.9.19) has revealed that WhatsApp is now developing a dedicated tab in the WhatsApp Account settings where users can add, organize, and delete both individual contacts and favorite groups.

The new feature aims to provide users with more control over their contacts on the platform and simplify the process of locating them. It is still in development and will soon enter the testing phase.
