The University of Utah is set to recognize 118 current or former student-athletes as part of its Commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 2. The event will celebrate graduates from Fall 2023, as well as Spring and Summer 2024 who have earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The ceremony can be viewed via livestream at 6 p.m. MT on Thursday at www.utah.edu/live.
Utah’s student-athletes have consistently graduated at a high rate, with a 94-percent figure in the most recent NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) Report released in December 2023. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Utah’s score has been 93 percent or higher, ranking second in the Pac-12 conference behind Stanford.
The student-athletes who will be receiving their degrees come from a variety of sports programs at the university, including baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, cross country, track & field, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, skiing, soccer, softball, men’s swimming & diving, women’s swimming & diving, men’s tennis
