Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny make a comeback on TikTok following licensing deal with UMG

Universal Music Group (UMG) and TikTok have reached a new agreement that will once again allow users of the social network to use songs from artists such as Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny in their videos. This collaboration was halted at the end of January, but has now been revived with a focus on the importance of music, human art, and the well-being of the creative community.

The licensing agreement signed by both parties will bring back UMG artists’ songs, composers, and labels to TikTok. Users will soon have access to the UMG song catalog featuring popular artists such as Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, and Drake. The agreement also includes new monetization options for artists, analysis tools, and integrated sales capabilities to help expand their global fan bases through the reach of the video platform.
