On May 9, Ukrainian drones carried out a targeted attack on an oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia, causing a fire at the site. This was followed by a drone attack on the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery in Bashkiria, setting a new record of over 1,500 kilometers.
The Ukrainian Security Service is believed to have been responsible for both attacks, targeting strategic oil facilities in the region. The drone used in the second attack hit an oil catalytic cracking installation at the refinery, causing damage.
These incidents highlight escalating tensions and conflicts in the region, with unmanned aerial vehicles being used in targeted attacks on critical infrastructure.
