In May, there will be several events happening in the Flathead Valley that aim to help those in need and bring the community together. Fundraiser Alliance Title & Escrow is hosting its 13th annual Closing the Hunger Gap food drive to benefit the Flathead Food Bank. The food and funds collection will take place at various branches throughout the month, and a portion of the revenue generated in May will also be donated to the cause. Drop-offs can be made during business hours, Monday to Friday, until May 31. Since 2012, this campaign has contributed an impressive 268,116 pounds of food and $377,184 to local communities in need.

On May 9, the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce will host its May Sundowner event at Tall Pine located at 435 Grand Drive in Bigfork. This event is an excellent opportunity for business professionals in the community to network and learn about upcoming events.

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce is also holding its May membership luncheon on May 14 at Cedar Creek Lodge, 930 Second Ave. W in Columbia Falls. The guest speaker for this event is Doug Mitchell, the executive director of the Glacier National Park Conservancy.

Businesses looking to make the most out of their chamber membership can attend a Maximize Your Membership session on May 6 from 8-9 a.m., hosted by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce at their location at 2 South Main St., Suite 205. This session will provide valuable information on how to get the most benefits from being a chamber member.

Furthermore, on May 6, attendees can join Kalispell Chamber of Commerce’s government affairs committee meeting at noon at their location at 2 South Main St., Suite 205. They will have the opportunity to hear from Jarod Nygren from the city of Kalispell regarding the Main Street Safety Action Plan.
