The Sports Hub leads over its rivals in the winter radio ratings

The Boston sports radio market is dominated by 98.5 The Sports Hub, according to the recent winter Nielsen Audio ratings period from January 4 to March 27. During this time, The Sports Hub finished first overall and across its three daytime programs, while also ranking second in the evenings among its target demographic of men 25-54.

The Sports Hub’s morning show “Toucher and Hardy” took the top spot with a 17.9 share. Co-host Rob “Hardy” Poole joined the show as Rich Shertenlieb’s replacement and quickly established himself as a key player in the morning program. In the midday slot, “Zolak and Bertrand” from The Sports Hub earned a 15.4 share, outperforming WEEI’s “Gresh and Fauria” at 3.5. Afternoon drive belonged to “Felger and Massarotti” from The Sports Hub, who finished first with an impressive 19.8 share while WEEI’s programming struggled to compete.

The evening ratings also showed that The Sports Hub was dominant, finishing in second place with a strong lineup that included Bruins and Celtics broadcasts. WEEI’s nighttime programming, including “The Rich Keefe Show,” struggled to gain traction with less than a 2 share in March. Overall, these ratings paint a clear picture of The Sports Hub’s continued dominance in the Boston sports radio landscape.

In this period, The Sports Hub finished first overall and across all three of its daytime programs while also ranking second among men aged 25-54 in evenings.
