The Tulsa World is hosting a contest to recognize the best mascot, band, cheer squad, dance team, and fan base. The event is sponsored by Tulsa Tech. Last year, Jenks took home the title in every category except for mascot, which was awarded to Rambo from Owasso High School.
This year’s contest will see participants submit one nomination per category. The top five nominees in each category will move on to the voting round. The winning school will be contacted in advance of the event to prepare for the ceremony.
In addition to the mascot contest, there are also awards for exceptional athletes and coaches in high school sports. These All-World Awards are sponsored by Bill Knight Automotive.
