The brutal murder-suicide attempt in Santa Ana left two victims dead: 25-year-old Jordan Block and 64-year-old Brian Martin. Their possible circumstances were revealed after the violent attacks, which took place in a unit of a business complex.
The niece and uncle were discovered in their unit, with police arriving quickly after receiving the call. However, they arrived too late to save the lives of Block and Martin, who were already deceased.
People who knew Martin described him as friendly and even taught women’s self-defense classes. His collection of ancient swords was well-known, with one found bloodied outside the garage in the aftermath of the incident. The suspect, Jordan’s boyfriend, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was in critical condition as of Friday afternoon.
