Aviators, Mandan’s latest addition to the business scene, is located at 202 West Main Street. The sports bar is owned by five individuals, including pilot Ryan Deichert, whose love of aviation inspired the name. One of the owners also has a passion for aviation and thought it would be fun to create a bar that celebrates this exciting hobby.
Despite the challenges of starting a new business and becoming a father, Deichert views these challenges as opportunities for personal growth and is excited about both aspects of his life. Aviators recently had a soft opening over the past two weeks and has already welcomed locals and passersby who have stopped in to check out the new establishment.
Jersey Thomas, who works as a bartender at Aviators, finds the environment welcoming and supportive as she navigates her first bartending job. The team at Aviators has been helpful and supportive as she learns the ropes. Aviators is open every day from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., providing patrons with a comfortable and inviting space to relax and enjoy some aviation-themed fun.
The bar features decorations such as vintage airplane posters, model airplanes on display, and even an actual airplane engine hanging from the ceiling! The menu includes aviation-themed cocktails like “The Navigator” and “The Skyscraper,” as well as classic bar foods like wings, nachos, and burgers.
Overall, Aviators is an exciting new addition to Mandan’s business scene that offers patrons a unique experience while also supporting local entrepreneurs like Deichert.
