Bud Dupree, a highly sought-after free-agent edge rusher, is close to joining a new team after completing a visit with the Chargers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Falcons and Steelers have both shown interest in Dupree, who began his career as a first-round pick for the Steelers in 2015. After six seasons with the Steelers, he signed with the Titans and spent the 2021-2022 season with the AFC South club. In his last season with the Falcons, Dupree recorded an impressive 6.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight QB hits, along with three passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 16 games.
Over his 119-game career spanning nine seasons, Dupree has accumulated an impressive total of 53.0 sacks, 70 tackles for loss, and 90 QB hits. At age 31, Dupree is a proven pass rusher with experience in the league and could be a valuable addition to any team seeking a strong defensive presence.
