Sols 4166-4167: The Rocky Garden

Gale Crater on Mars is experiencing the full force of spring, while Toronto remains in a typical springtime limbo. As the temperature rises and days grow longer, I feel an increase in energy and eagerness to spend time outdoors, working on my garden. Similarly, Curiosity rover is enjoying the relatively warmer weather and taking advantage of its increased power to explore and investigate its surroundings.

Curiosity’s mission on Mars involves uncovering the mysteries of the Red Planet just as I am excited to tend to my green garden here on Earth. Despite our different environments, we both share a desire to make the most of this season and enjoy the warmer weather it brings. With Curiosity’s touch-and-go plan for today, it has the opportunity to venture out and gather data in its own unique Martian garden.
