Sharon has been working for Choctaw Nation for thirteen years, all the while pursuing her dream of serving her tribe. Despite owning a family business with her husband, she never gave up on her aspirations. Her tenacity paid off when she landed a job in the Finance Division, which was made possible by Connie Zalenski, whom she deeply appreciates for the opportunity and encouragement.
Over the years, Sharon’s role at Choctaw Nation has evolved, and she now works in tribal advocacy. In her job in the Recruitment Department, she assists Choctaw tribal members in finding employment, educational resources, training, mock interviews, and interview attire. Sharon finds fulfillment in helping individuals who share her aspiration of working for the tribe realize their dreams.
Sharon believes in the abundance of resources available to Choctaw Nation members and encourages them not to underestimate their abilities. She emphasizes the support system in place to help individuals succeed and achieve their goals within the tribe. Sharon’s passion for tribal advocacy shines through her work as she remains dedicated to empowering Choctaw tribal members to reach their full potential.
