Ernst Commemorates National Small Business…

Senator Joni Ernst, the Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, has been dedicated to supporting small businesses throughout her time in office. In a video celebrating National Small Business Week, she highlighted the resilience of Main Street businesses in the face of challenges brought on by the Biden administration.

Ernst is leading a bipartisan resolution recognizing the important contributions of small businesses across the country. She has been advocating for American entrepreneurs and supporting job creation through her work on the Small Business Committee.

One of Ernst’s initiatives is improving access to child care, which is crucial for small business owners who need to be present for their children. Another initiative is supporting veteran entrepreneurs, who face unique challenges when starting a business. Additionally, Ernst has been pushing back against risky lending rules imposed by the Biden administration that could harm small businesses.

In Iowa, Ernst has worked on legislation such as the Stop Stolen Valor for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Contractors Act, which aims to close loopholes in federal contracting for veteran-owned businesses. She also sponsored the Small Business Child Care Investment Act, which aims to increase access to affordable child care for small business owners and their employees. The Prove It Act focuses on reforming mentorship programs for female entrepreneurs, and the SCORE Act supports entrepreneurship education and training programs across the country.

Overall, Senator Joni Ernst remains committed to advocating for American entrepreneurs and supporting job creation through her work on the Senate Small Business Committee.
