Businesses in the area prepare for the upcoming tourist season with a round-up of activities.

Despite the challenges, businesses in Narragansett, Rhode Island are still optimistic about the upcoming busy tourist season. Joe Viele, the executive director of the Southern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce expressed this sentiment as he encouraged locals to take advantage of the opportunities that come with increased tourism.

As spring approaches, many businesses in the area have taken steps to improve their offerings. For example, O’Reilly Auto Parts opened a new store in Wakefield and Celeste completed renovations on their property in Narragansett. Additionally, Tower Hill Brewing Co., which is located in Wakefield, offers craft beers made on site in their taproom.

Tower Hill Brewing Co.’s unique selling point is its allowance of patrons to bring their own food to the taproom as they do not have a kitchen on site. This creates a relaxed atmosphere for customers who can enjoy a drink while also bringing their favorite dish or snack from home. The South County Tourism Council is also promoting spring specials at various businesses and restaurants on their website, www.southcountyri.com.
