First national entrepreneurship index report being developed in Vietnam

In a ceremony on April 17, the National Startup Promotion Index Framework Report was presented, along with the launch of the Startup Research Institute and the release of the National Startup Index Report. The report, developed by the Institute for Entrepreneurship Research, part of the National Startup Association, provides a comprehensive analysis of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen An Thinh, Deputy Director of the Institute for Startup Research, emphasized the importance of this report in identifying Vietnam’s advantages in its startup ecosystem. The report analyzes potential industries and promotes investment in startups to build a knowledge and innovation economy that enhances competitiveness and fosters an entrepreneurial spirit among youth.

The report is divided into five parts: global startup trends, national startup criteria, localities, industries, fields, and startup faces. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh highlighted the role businesses play in applying science, technology, and innovation to drive socio-economic development in light of the 4.0 technological revolution. He also praised the Ministry of Science and Technology’s support for innovative startups through standards for goods, determination of competitiveness, assistance with intellectual property rights, access to capital technology information for production and business.
