This innovative feature is available across all of their lines, including Thinx, Thinx Teens, and Thinx For All. The LeakSafe Barrier Technology ensures all-day absorbency, preventing leaks for up to 12 hours as claimed by the company.
Courtney Newman, senior director of product design at Thinx, stated that testing proved the new technology is effective for heavy flows and is absorbent enough for the majority of users. By balancing aesthetics with function, the gusset layer is made thinner while the width of the secure barrier is maximized, offering customers a product that combines comfort, style, and protection.
The garment contains a patent-pending four-layer gusset that promises both comfort and protection. It also includes odor technology and is made of breathable fabric to help users feel fresh and dry all day long. According to Sara Plotkin, vice president of brand and creative at Thinx, the development process involved exploring different materials, designs, and manufacturing techniques to ensure the best possible experience for customers. The product was designed with customers’ needs in mind, providing them with protection that boosts confidence throughout the day.
