Bullpen of Sea Dogs struggles once more in third consecutive defeat

In Hartford, Connecticut, the Yard Goats staged an impressive comeback in their game against the Portland Sea Dogs. The Yard Goats were down 4-1 when they rallied to win 12-5. This marked the third straight game in which the Yard Goats came from behind to secure a victory.

Pitcher Wikelman Gonzalez had a solid performance for Portland, striking out eight batters and allowing only one hit through five innings. Nick Yorke played well for the Sea Dogs, going 2 for 4 and scoring twice. However, it was Sterlin Thompson who helped propel the Yard Goats to move ahead of Portland in the Northeast Division standings. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and three RBI.

The Sea Dogs’ bullpen struggled to maintain their lead, ultimately leading to their defeat. The Yard Goats will look to continue their winning streak as they host the Reading Fightin Phils on Tuesday.
