Collaboration between Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Philips

Nicklaus Children’s Health System is committed to providing quality care for children. Matthew A. Love, president and CEO of the system, emphasized the importance of understanding the unique needs of their patients and highlighted the challenges faced when providing radiology services to children. He emphasized the need for specialized solutions to cater to their specific needs and stressed the importance of making medical procedures fun and instilling confidence in children to reduce stress for both patients and their families.

Philips shares this commitment to innovation, patient safety, and quality, as demonstrated by their partnership with Nicklaus Children’s Health System. Philips will enhance its cardiac care services with EPIQ CVx and Compact 5500CV AI-enabled ultrasound systems. These systems automate measurements and strain quantification, reducing exam times and improving accuracy. TrueVue imaging technology will assist in interpreting structural heart diseases and facilitate communication between healthcare providers, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Jeff DiLullo, Chief Region Leader for Philips North America, highlighted how Philips aims to create a healthy future for every child by working collaboratively with child psychologists in addition to engineers. They are dedicated to supporting Nicklaus Children’s clinicians with pediatric coaching solutions and AI-enabled tools that improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes, giving families hope for the future.
