United States to Provide New Military Aid to Kyiv in Days for Russia-Ukraine Conflict

The United States is set to provide new military aid to Ukraine in the coming days once President Joe Biden approves the assistance, as announced by the Pentagon on Tuesday. The Defense Department spokesperson stated that they hope to deliver the aid within days, although no specific details about the assistance were provided. The Senate is expected to approve a military aid package worth $95 billion, with $61,000 allocated to Ukraine. This aid package includes air defense capabilities and artillery ammunition.

The new military assistance program being considered by the Senate includes tanks, armored vehicles, defense against air attacks, and large quantities of artillery ammunition. In the past two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, the US has provided over $75 billion in military aid to the country. President Biden recently spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the situation. Russia has warned the US that its military support for Ukraine could end in a fiasco like Vietnam.

The United States is committed to providing additional assistance to Ukraine based on their most urgent needs. The aid package will address critical security needs and aim to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities. The Pentagon is working hard to finalize the assistance and ensure it is delivered promptly to support Ukraine in their ongoing conflict against Russian aggression.
