Weekend Schedule for NASCAR Xfinity and Cup races at Richmond Raceway

NASCAR fans can expect a thrilling weekend at Richmond Raceway as two national series will be in action. On Friday, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour teams will compete in a 150-lap race that covers 112.5 miles. The Xfinity Series will then take over on Saturday with practice, qualifying, and racing at the .75-mile Virginia track. Cup teams will also be present on Saturday for practice and qualifying in preparation for Sunday’s primetime race.

The weather forecast for the weekend looks promising, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 67 degrees on Friday, a cloudy day with a high of 71 degrees on Saturday, and a high of 70 degrees on Sunday with a 33% chance of rain at the start of the Cup race. Trackhouse Racing drivers Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain are looking to secure their second win of the season at Richmond.

On Saturday, the garage opens at 6:30 a.m. for the Xfinity Series and at 8 a.m. for the Cup Series. Track activities include Xfinity practice and qualifying, as well as Cup practice and qualifying. The Xfinity race will consist of 250 laps totaling 187.5 miles and will take place at 1:30 p.m., while the Cup race will feature 400 laps totaling 300 miles and will start at 7 p.m., broadcasted on Fox, Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
