Morningside University awarded $2 million grant to construct new School of Business building

Morningside University is set to construct a new facility for its growing School of Business program thanks to a $2 million donation from alumnus Tom Rosen. The donation will allow the university to design and build a new building to accommodate the program’s 300 students, as well as three additional majors that will be added in the coming year.

The current facility, the Lincoln Center, is nearly 50 years old and has become inadequate for the program’s expanding student population. With the new building, school leaders hope to provide a space that can house all of the School of Business students and offer state-of-the-art technology to enhance their learning experience.

The new building will be located between the Science Center and Learning Center, providing business students with closer proximity to other academic buildings on campus. While the planning and design process is just getting started, Morningside University plans to keep the Lincoln Center and potentially repurpose it as a new welcome center for the campus community.

Overall, the new building will not only meet the current needs of the School of Business program but also allow for future growth and development as the program continues to expand.
