Construction Technology Lab at Montana Tech

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Montana Tech students were hard at work on one of two housing projects at Highlands College as part of their education in the construction technology program. Two years ago, Tech secured funding to allow the program to begin constructing houses on their campus, providing students with practical experience in a lab setting while still in school before they enter the workforce.

Braydon Cetraro was seen reflecting on the roof of a construction trailer as he measured and marked wood, cutting batten strips with a sliding compound miter saw. Meanwhile, students Jack Gibson, Payton Gonser, Brendan Gallagher, and Matthew Larson were busy putting up interior paint in one of the construction housing projects on the same day. Montana Tech student Kevin Hanenburg was also fastening batten strips to one of the projects at Highlands College on April 23, 2024.
