Owner of UnBar Cafe wins $20K prize at JumpStart’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase

This month marks the grand opening of UnBar Cafe in Cleveland’s Larchmere neighborhood. The cafe is owned by Melissa Garrett, who recently won the $20,000 top prize at JumpStart Inc.’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase. The event took place at Cleveland’s House of Blues and celebrated the 20th cohort of JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program.

JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program is a 12-week accelerator that provides entrepreneurs with personalized advice and business training. The showcase featured a pitch competition emceed by Josh and Maria Cribbs and was presented by the Cleveland Browns. Josh Cribbs, a former wide receiver for the Browns, along with his wife Maria Cribbs, host a local television talk show.
