Helena Breweries Enter the ‘World Beer Cup’ Competition

In the realm of craft beer, Montana has long been a force to be reckoned with. Two Helena breweries recently received accolades at the World Beer Cup, raising the bar for beer in the area and highlighting the state’s diverse range of craft brews.

Lewis and Clark Brewing Company made history with their Miner’s Gold Hefeweizen American wheat beer, winning gold for the second time at this prestigious competition. The first brew from Lewis and Clark, Miner’s Gold boasts a cloudy citrus flavor and is 5% alcohol. Owner Max Pigman couldn’t be prouder of his team for their commitment to quality and consistency in creating this award-winning beer. According to Pigman, Miner’s Gold is a great go-to beer for any occasion.

Copper Furrow Brewing also struck gold at the World Beer Cup with their Tmavé international dark lager. This was the first time Copper Furrow had won a medal at this renowned competition, and head brewer Nick Diehl emphasized the importance of recognition from expert beer judges. With its rich, slightly roasted taste similar to a pilsner but with more complexity, Tmavé is sure to impress even the most discerning palates. As the sole brewer at Copper Furrow Brewing, Diehl’s win was especially rewarding for him.

Two other Montana breweries also picked up bronze medals at the World Beer Cup: Sacred Brewing Company in Kalispell and MAP Brewing Company in Bozeman. These awards serve as a testament to Montana’s thriving craft beer scene and demonstrate that there is truly something special about Montana’s brew creations.
