Med Center Health to Begin Construction on New Facility in Glasgow

As a healthcare system committed to improving access to care for patients across Southcentral Kentucky, Med Center Health is preparing to break ground on a new facility in Glasgow. More than half of Med Center Health’s patients travel from areas outside of Warren County, and this expansion signifies the health system’s commitment to providing comprehensive care in Barren County.

The 22,000 square foot facility will feature an outpatient diagnostic imaging center with state-of-the-art technology, providing services such as radiology, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI. The facility will also offer a range of specialties including Primary Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Hematology/Oncology, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Orthopedics/Sports Medicine.

Top executives and physicians who will be providing care at Med Center Glasgow are gearing up for the groundbreaking event scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m., which will take place at the facility’s site located at 401 S. L. Rogers Wells Blvd., next to the Sherwin Williams paint store. The originally scheduled ceremony was canceled due to inclement weather.

Contractor Scott, Murphy and Daniel is leading the construction effort in collaboration with Stengel Hill Architecture for this project that is expected to open its doors next spring as part of Med Center Health’s expansion efforts across the region.
