In 2024, Meadow Montessori School held its annual Science Fair, with seventeen students receiving ribbons for their projects. The school’s director of admissions and advancement, Pietrina Guy, mentioned that the school is the only one in the county continuing the tradition of hosting a school-wide science fair. This year’s event was held on campus and included students from kindergarten through eighth grade participating in presentations and displays.

The Science Fair coordinator, Meg Fedorowicz, emphasized that the fair is a celebration of learning and a chance for students to share their work and utilize the scientific method for critical thinking. Four judges reviewed each project and awarded prizes to the top three in five different age groupings: kindergarten through first grade, second grade through fourth grade, fifth grade through sixth grade, seventh grade through eighth grade.

Students who received ribbons in each age group included Zayn LaHart, Jaxton Thurwanger, Luka Madrid from kindergarten; Calvin Cunningham, Lennon Beamsley, Teddy Felder, Cash Guy, Maximus Humphreys from first and second grades; Jase Burbo, Etta Manley, and Madison Smith from third and fourth grades; David Schall, Henry Wolbert, and Landon Warshefski from fifth and sixth grades; and Jack Hopps-Zunk
